Riverdance Knoxville Theatre reviews
It was just OK
Having seen the original several times.. this 25th anniversary version doesn't come remotely close. I wasn't expecting a second Michael & Jean in quality but I was expected something a little better given the significance of a 25th anniversary performance. The leads demonstrated their technical skills but they lacked any charisma or flair. They appeard to be simply going through the motions. I dont blame the performers... I blame the directors. They should have helped these talented dancers. River Dance would not have been the hit it was if this version was performed at the time. My thoughts are not alone. I heard similar feelings around me during the intermission.
